Little is known of Banana Skatepark. We discovered it on the side of the road, which is rare as we do our homework and think we know where most of the skateparks are in Australia. It is always a surprise to find an undiscovered park, although the reality is that they are almost not worth listing and more often than not a bad skatepark.
Banana Skatepark sits on the perimeter of a basketball court in a lovely park opposite Banana State School on Dawson Hwy, Banana Queensland’s Central Highlands region.
The skatepark boasts two-quarter ramps that are spaced too far apart to keep momentum between the two. The park has a covered table and chairs and some nicely mowed grass along with the basketball hoop which it was originally intended for.
