Located in one of Australia’s most popular backpacker destinations lies Cable Beach Skatepark. The skatepark was built in 2026 and is dope to say the least.

Skatepark design has come a long way in the last ten years. It is amazing to see the pros skate the massive bowls at the Olympics, but for the other 90% of skaters who want smaller, mellower, more achievable features, it is much less intimidating for the majority of skaters.

Not only is it just 10% of skaters that can skate those gnarly parks, but they also cost a lot more money to build. Without mentioning anything about the features, this must have been a cost-effective skatepark that will only contribute to one of Western Australia’s biggest tourist attractions.

The skatepark features a small, mellow collection of all the street features in a modern format and a premium mini ramp. It’s probably a three-star skatepark, but skatepark reviews are tailored to each skater. Still, Cable Beach Skatepark ticks a lot of our boxes. If only there were larger waves.
