Deer Park Skate Bowl is a large concrete skatepark that was designed and built by Convic. The skatepark features a triple bowl that flows into one with ramps, spines and hips. With quarters from 3 – 7 foot. The skatepark is very unique and is a nice contribution to Melbourne skate bowls. One really nice feature of this park is the groves in the coping that makes it feel and sound as if you were skating an actual pool with traditional tiles. The skatepark also has a couple of rails and boxes for the street skaters and a couple of graffiti walls for the artists.
If you are bored of the traditional bowls in Melbourne and want to skate something different, Deer Park Bowl is worth checking out. Naturally, the skatepark is going to attract a lot of BMX’ers with its big quarters and spine, but if you go during the day you might score it to yourself as we did. The park is located on Gould Street next to the footy oval in Robert Bruce Reserve, Deer Park.
