Sunshine Plaza Skatepark is the latest solution to help solve Melbourne’s demand for more street style plazas from the growing skateboarding and scooter community. The skate plaza is another of Convic Skateparks smooth creations showcasing their design and construction skills. Sunshine Plaza has heaps of unique features that you won’t find anywhere else. For example, you may already be familiar with the conventional Melbourne fire-hydrant, but perhaps not in a skatepark. The fire hydrant is super cool, but is already showing some wear and tear after its first few days of the skatepark opening, so it will be interesting as to how long it will survive for. There are heaps of other one off obstacles that you will have to see in the pics below to comprehend their shapes. It is very cool and refreshing to see grass in the middle of the skatepark. The grass makes you feel at one with nature, contrasting to the average concrete jungle sensation that is common at most skateparks. Another unique feature is the roadside curb the runs around the circumference of the centre grass island. Overall Sunshine Plaza Skatepark is an epic street park and one that is worth making the trip to skate.
