The Altona Meadows Skatepark is located off Queen Street in the H D Graham Reserve, just next to the Altona Sports Centre (Netball and Basketball Stadium). It’s a concrete Skatepark that has some nice lines for street skaters including stairs, a euro, funbox with rails, hubbas, ledges and quarter pipes. There’s are also some pretty funky rails that bend on sharp 90 degree angles; so you can give these a crack too if you’re game.
Some of the concrete is a little old and clunky with the exception of an extension (added in 2015) that includes a small bowl with a hipped lump in the middle. At the edge of the bowl there are also some small quarters and roll-ins. While the addition of the bowl is nice it’s all a bit small and essentially constitutes a beginners section of the Skatepark.
The Skatepark is located within the larger H D Graham Reserve that includes benches, drinking taps, shelters, parking and a big BMX track; which looks like it could be a lot of fun.
Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area.
