The steel pre-fab skatepark in rural Nagoorin, constructed by the Gladstone Regional Council, is a remarkable addition to the community. This cost-effective skatepark is situated on a smooth concrete slab underneath a shade sail, providing skateboarders with a cool and shaded space to practice their skills. Despite its relatively modest cost of $65,000, the skatepark offers an excellent recreational facility for skateboarders, scooter rollers and BMX’ers. It opened its doors to the public in 2012, welcoming skaters of all ages and skill levels. While it may be considered a medium-sized park, it has undoubtedly become a cherished asset for the community, proving that any skatepark is indeed better than no skatepark.
