Norlane Skatepark, also known as North Shore Skatepark and Windsor Skate Park. The Concrete skatepark comprises of two skateparks adjacent to one another that link together enabling you to skate between the new and the old park. Unlike most renovated skateparks they left the original slab with pre cast features and constructed an entirely new skatepark next to the original. It has been criminal seeing dated skateparks destroyed and perplexing seeing a lot of new skateparks being built on top of a pre existing skatepark. More often then not there is ample room to accommodate for both, which has been showcased here with Norlane Skatepark.
The concrete on the older section is pretty rough, but the pre fab features scattered throughout the park are still silky smooth. There is a mini ramp at either end and obstacles including a spine, euro gap and rail in the middle to create heaps of variations. The newer skatepark has much smoother concrete, smaller obstacles and mellower transitions that reflect the more contemporary skating scene that we see today. There are a couple of sets of stairs, heaps of banks, ledges, gaps and more.
