The famous God Bowl can be found next to Citipointe Church Brisbane in CHC – Christian Heritage College. The skatepark is half inside and half outside, so there is somewhere to skate regardless of rain, hail or shine.
Inside features a large 5 ft half pipe. with an extension along with a smaller square bowl. Both the half-pipe and bowl are made out of Skatelite, which offers a slippery surface. The half pipe is one of the best in Queensland, with seamless transitions. The mini bowl isn’t as good to skate as it looks. There are too many individual sheets of Skatelite on the corners, which offers an uneven rough experience. Inside the building is a section where they left the concrete surface and have placed a few portable street objects, including rails, banks, quarters and ledges.
The outside half of the skatepark features the famous bowl and a cool DIY section. The bowl is gnarly and shaped like a conventional bowl that you would have seen in early 90s skate vids. The DIY street section is well thought out and executed. There are banks, quarters, manny pads, a spine and a wall ride that make up the DIY obstacles. It looks like it has had a lot of use over its time in the sun. You have to pick your lines ahead of time, but a super fun street park.
We didn’t find the main man behind the scenes, but God sounds like a legend as he has personally financed and provided this awesome skatepark for skaters to use for FREE.
The skatepark is generally just open to skate on Wednesdays from 6 pm to late, however, head to their website to stay up to date with the latest sessions and events and follow their socials. The park is only open a few hours every week, so you might have to fit in their schedule if you want to go shred this epic skate facility.

One of the more disappointing skateparks that we discovered in Brisbane. Our understanding is that it is meant to be some sort of bowl, although it looks a lot more like a dish or even a plate. The bowl belongs in the skatepark museum as it pre-dates any sort of...
