Upwey Skatepark was designed and built by Concrete Skateparks in 2001. The skatepark is still holding together and is barely showing its age or any significant wear and tear. The concrete skatepark is relatively small, however, the flowing bank that meets with the curb of the road makes it feel much bigger. The skatepark has a great overall flow to it and although small, still accommodates for sharing riders with its open design. Upwey has a 3/4 bowl that steps down to a deeper end, with street obstacles linking the two levels. The famous bank continues for the remainder of the open section, effectively making it a full bowl. You can skate, ride and scoot this park in so many different ways and will keep finding new lines. It is an oldie, but a goodie and one that is worth checking out if you are ever in the area or heading to see Puffing Billy or walk the 1000 Steps.
