We were wrapped when we drove past this old-school skatepark when en route to the much newer Wauchope Skatepark that can be found on the other side of Andrews Park.

This vintage skatepark is a testament to how far skatepark design and construction have come. The park features a quarter, ledge, a curved bank a jump in the middle.

This skatepark obviously doesn’t get any use as it had a lot of debris on the surface. The skatepark is sporting cracks in every square meter of its surface, some large enough you might lose a wheel. The steel coping on the quarter ramp is a sight to see.

Although this is a terrible skatepark, we love that the council has left it here considering there is so much space available to construct a new park elsewhere instead of what we too often see when the old skatepark is demolished to make room for the new park.

Old Bar Skatepark

Old Bar Skatepark

The tranquil coastal town of Old Bar has an old skatepark that can be found on the foreshore park, next to the Taree Old Bar Surf Lifesaving Club. The smaller skatepark lies above a rough concrete surface and features a number of pre-fab obstacles. There are too many...

New Lambton Skate Park

New Lambton Skate Park

Another average pre-fab skatepark in Newcastle, NSW. The small concrete surface is rough, we are sure it had seen better days. There are several Pre-fab features that rest on top of the concrete base. Features include quarters, banks, euro, spine and rail. Plenty of...

Parrey Skatepark

Parrey Skatepark

One of the best private indoor skateparks in Australia, Parrey Skatepark sports a selection of seamless mini ramps with tight transitions and a bunch of larger wooden ramps, quarters, vert walls, spine and much more. The larger section of the park was a little gnarly...
