Bayswater Ledges is a very small street style skatepark built into a basketball court. The skatepark features a selection of ledges, all with purpose built steel coping. Bayswater Ledges potentially has Melbourne’s mellowest ramp alongside a couple of rails and set of 3 stairs. Although there are limited obstacles, there is still a large smooth concrete surface to stretch your wings and try to master your next flat trick. The largest ledge combines as a stage with an open roof to shield skaters from the rays, however does little to protect the park from the rain unlike the new North Melbourne and Port Melbourne Skateparks. It is a very small and basic park, but for those who are searching for ledges, Bayswater Ledges has you covered. This is yet another mini skatepark to pop up around Melbourne and it’s really refreshing seeing skatepark obstacles being incorporated into larger park designs. The skatepark has lights and therefore can be skated into the night, however you may have to look elsewhere to find out exactly how late you officially can skate.
