Camperdown Skatepark is another epic skatepark provided and maintained by the Corangamite Shire. It was initially just two half-pipes with a spine between them, however, the skatepark has been extended, now offering a decent sized 6 ft 3/4 bowl with roll in, along with heaps of your usual street features that you would find at most parks. The integration between the old and the new section of the skatepark is a bit strange considering you are forced to dismount of your board and walk between the two as there is nothing but grass. Nevertheless, for a regional Vic, you couldn’t ask for anything more. Both the old and the new section of the skatepark are made out of concrete with conventional steel coping. The concrete on the mini ramps are starting to show its age, however, the newer section is still as silky smooth to roll on as the day it was opened. The skatepark was built by ‘Skateparks.com.au’ and can be found next to the Camperdown Swimming Pool Reserve, in the middle of its own isolated park with plenty of vegetation to spread your wings.
