Eltham Skatepark is another skatepark designed and built by our friends at Convic Skateparks. The concrete skatepark has a large 6ft 3/4 bowl that opens up to a smaller 3ft quarter on one side and an even larger 7ft extension on the other. There is a random feature hump in the middle of the park that isn’t very practical but it looks cool and adds to the steeze of the park. There is a ramp connecting the deeper bowl to the street section. There is also a reasonable selection of street obstacles scattered through the park including ledges, rails and boxes. Eltham skatepark is pretty popular with BMX’ers and scooters alike with its open flow and vert extension, which tailor to their love of big air. It is still a great place to skateboard, however it is a park that you will come appreciate more the more you skate it.
The skatepark has basically stayed the same since it was originally constructed, however a few seats, a small shelter and a water fountain to keep everyone hydrated have all been added. You can find the skatepark opposite Bunnings Warehouse on Brisbane St, Eltham.
