The ageing Port Douglas Skate Park is a popular recreational facility located in the tropical paradise of North Queensland, Australia. Situated in the coastal town of Port Douglas, this skate park offers a place for skateboarders, BMX riders, and rollerbladers of all skill levels to enjoy a concrete playground.
The skate park boasts quarters at each end and some street obstacles in the middle. The transition on the quarters is inconsistent, with one quarter being almost 6 ft, whilst the other side has mellower 2-3 ft quarters with an extension in the middle.
The skatepark once had a beginner dish off to one side, although it has since been removed and replaced with a tar pump track.
A great place for locals and tourists alike to enjoy some action while soaking in the beautiful Queensland scenery. With its lush green surroundings and proximity to the Great Barrier Reef, Port Douglas Skate Park combines outdoor adventure with the laid-back charm of the region. The skatepark is located next to the soccer and footy ovals and is far enough from the water that you shouldn’t have to worry about crocodiles, however when in Croc Country, you have to stay on your toes.
