Avenel has made it on the map with its steezy mini ramp and skatepark extension. The mini ramp is as smooth as a baby’s bum, with transitions as good as any other in rural Victoria.
There is a tiny slab of concrete off to one side of the park that we presume is a beginner pump thing. There is another slightly more substantial concrete slab on the other side of the mini ramp with a quarter, bank and a couple of street obstacles.
The mini ramp is super fun to skate, however, found it peculiar to find the extension in the middle of a quarter as opposed to on one side. Constructed by Grindprojects, Avenel Mini Ramp is worth dropping in if passing through the area.
The town of Avenel is proud to boast one of rural Victoria’s best mini ramps. The mini ramp is close to perfection. However, we would prefer to see the extension on one side of the quarter instead of being in the middle.
We were thirsty and saw what looked to be a super modern drink tap next to the skatepark; however, unfortunately, the tap failed to do its job and didn’t produce any water to clench our thirst.
